Naming Contest Open to Children
KIDS: NAME THE WANDERING WOLF!
Naming contest open now until May 2nd
Recently, a Mexican gray wolf crossed the international border when she ranged from a release site in Northern Mexico to Southeastern Arizona. The wolf, labeled f1530, was born on a reserve in Sonora last year and then released about 90 miles south of the border with Arizona. After crossing the border, she was removed from Arizona and put in captivity in New Mexico. We hope she will be released into suitable habitat soon so she can continue to help the struggling wild Mexican gray wolf population recover. But she needs a name! Can you help us choose the perfect name for this courageous young wolf?
