September 29th and 30th, 2012, Petsense stores will partner with animal shelters, rescue organizations, and educational vendors nationwide to help educate the public and find loving homes for 1,000 homeless pets…during their biggest life-saving event to date-“FOREVER HOME!”
LOBOS OF THE SOUTHWEST WILL HAVE AN OUTREACH TABLE AT THIS EVENT.
STOP BY AND SAY HELLO!
There will be over 60 animals available for adoption at the Show Low Petsense store and everyone who adopts will receive a gift basket worth $100 courtesy of Petsense. In addition to providing opportunities for folks to adopt a new companion animal, there will be fun and educational activities for those who attend.
Sample Activities: Pet Fashion Show Saturday at 11:15 am; Live radio broadcast updates with Barbara Bruce and White Mountain Radio 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday; children’s coloring contest; Live broadcast from Petsense of “Believe” with Barbara Bruce from 3:00 – 5:00 pm; raffle drawings Sunday 3 – 5 pm. Raffles and bake sale too.
Rescue groups: Humane Society of the White Mountains; Pet Allies; Blackhat Humane Society; Round Valley Animal Rescue; Save Our Dogs; Tenderfoot Rescue; Arizona Poodle Rescue; Arizona Cattle Dog Rescue; Northern Arizona Ferret Alliance Rescue; Any Rat Rescue and Arizona Llama Rescue.
Other groups: White Mountain 4-H; Desert Breeze Alpaca Farm; US Fish and Wildlife Service; Lobos of the Southwest; Dr. Meredith Beard (shot clinic on Saturday); Dr. Elizabeth Ellis (Dental Health on Saturday); Dr. Kristin Bell (Pet Nutrition on Sunday); Michelle Denton (Obedience and Search and Rescue demonstrations each day).
