Event: “Little Red Riding Hood Lied: The Truth About Wolves”
The El Paso Museum of Archaeology is proud to present: “Little Red Riding Hood Lied: The Truth About Wolves”, a lecture by Nancy Bain.
2:00 pm to 4:00pm
At the El Paso Museum of Archaeology
The late 1800s began an era of steady decline in North America’s wolf population. Since then the shy wolf has been largely mistaken for an aggressive and vicious predator. Nancy Bain, also known as “The Wolf Lady”, intends to dispel the myth of the “Big Bad Wolf”. Her family-oriented lecture will reveal the true nature of wolf behavior, how wolves are essential to a healthy environment, and the highly endangered Mexican Wolf. Following the lecture, visitors are welcome to participate in the “create your own wolf” craft!
Nancy Bain is an educational speaker and advocate for the North American wolves. She has served as a volunteer wolf exhibit host for the El Paso Zoo. She currently travels to give talks to schools and other organizations in order to continue her work of correcting the many misconceptions about wolves.
The lecture will be held from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm and the “create your own wolf” craft will be held from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
