The Grand Canyon Wolf Recovery Project is excited to host the Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tour in Flagstaff, AZ on March 4th, 2011.
The festival tour brings together the best of the films in an evening program that leaves people feeling inspired and motivated to go out and make a difference in their community and around the world.
Those who can’t make it to the Festival can still enter the raffle for a chance to win a special trip for two on a weeklong White Mountain Apache Wilderness Journey in the heart of Mexican wolf country (a value of $3,000)!
Enjoy activities such as Apache arts & crafts and traditions, hiking, horseback riding, wolf tracking, and wildlife watching, while staying in furnished cabins with meals provided. One free raffle ticket will be included in the price of the $10 admission ticket (or $8 for students), and door prizes will be given away by several of the film festival sponsors. You can view a short video about the Apache Wilderness Journey and purchase Raffle tickets online here.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is a collection of films that speak to the environmental concerns and celebrations of our planet.
An opening reception with information tables by local conservation groups, drinks, food, and music will connect festival attendees with local environmental issues and ways to get involved.
All proceeds will benefit the work of the Grand Canyon Wolf Recovery Project and their efforts to bring back wolves and restore ecological health in the Grand Canyon region.
