Wandering Wolf name Asha by student

Each year, young conservationists choose names for wild lobos to honor their unique personalities and stories. Female Mexican gray wolf 2754 was born in the Rocky Prairie pack in 2021. She was fitted with a radio collar in 2022. She has since begun a journey in search of a new home, traveling north of I-40 in New Mexico.

We’ve chosen to celebrate her journey with the name Asha, which means hope in Sanskrit. We wish her safe travels and freedom wherever she may choose to roam!
