2020 Mexican Wolf Art Contest Results

Amazing and Inspiring Lobo Art - Posted September 21, 2020

We would like to thank all of artists who entered our Lobo Art Contest. We are amazed at the talent and creativity portrayed in each piece of art we received.  We received sixty-one works of art that were submitted by forty artists.  All the entries have been posted in a photo album on our Facebook page.  Please take some time to view this album.

With so many beautiful and inspiring works, it was difficult for our judges to choose their “favorites”.  To determine the top ranked art we used a combination of judges scores and Facebook likes to choose the top seven pieces – one winner and six runner-ups.  One of our judges, Katie Preston, had this message to share with the contestants.

“As an artist, I have entered my work into contests before. This is my first time being in the judge position and it is hard to ‘judge’ art when I believe that each piece was special and worthy. Thank you everyone for your efforts and I hope you all continue to pursue your artistic endeavors.”
-Katie Preston, Activist and Textile Artist

We want to congratulate the top vote getter in our Mexican wolf art and photo contest, Suzanne King!  Suzanne’s captivating wolves will be our Mexican gray wolves Facebook page profile photo for the next month and she will receive a $100 REI gift card.

We also want to congratulate Christopher Manalo, David Lash, Giada Giatto, Heather Mowat, JD Nartatez, and Lancelot Viggo G Joyosa.  Their art was chosen as runner-ups which we will use to make note cards which we will use in our outreach efforts.
