FOR FUN: The Wolf Conservation Center Celebrates Spring With Two Great Events And an Art Contest

Egg-Hunt with Ambassador Wolf, Atka
April 22, 2010 – Join us to learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolves in North America and then join in an egg-hunt with a twist! Instead of looking for eggs, guests will help hide them for Ambassador wolf Atka to find.  Guests will also visit the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves.
Pre-registration is required.

Celebrate Earth Day with the Wolf Conservation Center on April 23rd with an exciting bird of prey experience presented by Master Falconer Lorrie Schumacher of TALONS!

Guests will meet, touch, and catch beautiful feathered ambassadors during the educational and interactive bird of Prey experience.  Catch a Raptor on your fist and you’ll feel your heart jump like never before! Make sure to bring a camera -everyone will be given opportunities to photograph the raptors and to be photographed with them too!  Guests will also enjoy visiting Ambassador wolf Atka and the WCC’s red and Mexican gray wolves!
Pre-registration is required.

WCC’s Art Contest for kids!
If you have an artist in the family or in your classroom, please let them know about the WCC’s Art contest!  We LOVE when WCC supporters share their wolf artwork with us and we look forward to celebrating some of our favorites.

Prizes will be awarded in various categories, some of them age-based, and the contest deadline is April 30, 2011
