Act Now: Help Mexican Wolves Succeed From Wherever You Are!
The US Fish and Wildlife Service has recently proposed one good and many very bad changes to the rules governing the Mexican gray wolf reintroduction. Public comments have been requested, and one hearing has been scheduled in Albuquerque. Until the Oct. 28 deadline for comments, all of our activities are focused on generating pro-lobo comments and participation in the Save the Lobo event and USFWS hearing in Albuquerque Oct. 4. You can join the event on Facebook here.

VOLUNTEER TO MAKE THE SAVE THE LOBO EVENT AND HEARING A SUCCESS
Help grow the pro-wolf presence at the hearing! People who can help make phone calls to members of conservation groups are urgently needed for phone banking in Albuquerque. If you can help, even for an hour, send an email to emma@nmwild.org with LOBO PHONE in the subject line.
Help keep the peace. We need peacekeepers for the event and hearing to make sure the experience is an inspiring and positive experience for everyone and reflects well on the wolves. If you are interested in acting as a peacekeeper, or even just brushing up on your non-violence skills, we are offering a free training the evening of October 3. If you are interested in attending, please send an email to info@mexicanwolves.org with PEACE in the subject line and your name, address and phone number in the body. We’re sorry, but we do need to screen carefully, so we’ll also need the email to include which conservation group(s) you belong to. If we have enough people interested, we may also do a training on Oct 2.
Thank you for standing for Mexican wolves at this critical time!
