Lobos Need You in Albuquerque October 4!

Friends of lobos,

Fifteen years after they were reintroduced, fewer than 75 Mexican gray wolves remain in the wild.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed to delist gray wolves and implement changes that threaten the continued existence of Mexican wolves. Because of the government shutdown, the one hearing on both of these destructive proposals has been cancelled.

But because this is so important, science and conservation groups throughout the four corners states and beyond will still hold a Save the Lobo event on October 4 in Albuquerque.

You and other supporters of the Mexican wolf are all that stand between extinction and survival for these critically endangered, beautiful and intelligent animals.
Please join us to speak out for the lobo on October 4.

Location:
Embassy Suites
1000 Woodward Place NE
Albuquerque, NM 87102

Schedule:
3:30 p.m.  Tabling, free refreshments, sign-making, children’s art activities
4:00 p.m.  Training by Defenders of Wildlife — learn how to be an effective advocate for wolves!

6:00 p.m.  Testimony and comments for wolf recovery

Special interests are organizing to call for an end to wolves.

Your voice, joined with many others, is needed if America’s wolves are to survive the attacks against them. You can make a difference just by showing up!

Please spread the word.
